DALLAS, Texas — Longhorn International Motorsports Corporation (LIMC) has officially greenlit development of its next-generation racing game franchise, Texas Speed, marking the company’s expansion into interactive entertainment and gaming culture.
The first installment, titled Texas Speed: Return of the Godfather, will follow a storyline centered around underground racing crews, team building, high-speed pursuits, and intense street racing action inspired by some of Dallas’ most recognizable streets and urban environments.
The game is being developed by Frisco-based Nextrage Studios and is planned for release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. An official launch date for consoles has not yet been announced.
LIMC says the title will feature cinematic storytelling, evolving character arcs, customizable racing teams, immersive city environments, and law enforcement pursuit mechanics designed to create a long-term episodic gaming universe.
Victor W. Perry, CEO and founder of Longhorn International Motorsports Corporation, said the project was inspired by the absence of major story-driven street racing games in recent years.
“When NFS got shelved we felt that an entire fanbase was left out in the cold,” Perry said. “TSG will have multiple episodes and an evolving story line.”
According to LIMC, Texas Speed is intended to blend motorsports culture, cinematic storytelling, and Texas-inspired street racing environments into a franchise designed for both longtime racing fans and a new generation of gamers.
The company added that additional announcements regarding gameplay features, voice casting, soundtrack collaborations, and early concept previews are expected in the future.
