The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. The COO is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of Longhorn International Motorsports Corporation, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with LIMC’s strategic vision.
This role will lead operations across a multi-division motorsports ecosystem, including racing facilities, automotive R&D, hospitality, media (GMN Live), retail, residential development, and experiential entertainment venues.
The ideal candidate is a high-level operator with experience in motorsports, large-scale venue operations, mixed-use developments, or entertainment/sports infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across all LIMC divisions, including:
- Road racing circuit, dragway, karting, and off-road facilities
- Automotive R&D and proving grounds
- Hospitality, retail, and residential components
- Media operations (GMN Live streaming platform)
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support rapid growth and long-term scalability
- Establish performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems across all departments
Strategic Execution
- Translate the CEO’s vision into actionable operational plans
- Lead execution of Phase I and Phase II development initiatives
- Collaborate with executive leadership on capital deployment, timelines, and resource allocation
- Ensure operational readiness for major events, race series, and experiential activations
Team & Organizational Management
- Build, lead, and manage senior operational leadership teams, including:
- Director of Track Operations
- Hospitality & Venue Management
- Safety & Compliance Leadership
- Facilities & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee staffing strategies, workforce planning, and organizational structure
- Foster a high-performance culture aligned with LIMC’s mission and brand
Financial & Performance Oversight
- Partner with CFO to manage operational budgets, cost controls, and financial performance
- Monitor revenue streams across events, memberships, sponsorships, real estate, and media
- Drive operational efficiency to maximize profitability and ROI
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all governing bodies and regulatory standards, including:
- Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA)
- American Motorcyclist Association (AMA)
- Auto-Cycle Union of the United States (ACCUS)
- State of Texas regulatory agencies and safety standards
- Oversee implementation of safety protocols, emergency response systems, and risk mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with legal counsel on operational compliance and liability management
Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with strategic partners, manufacturers, sponsors, and investors
- Support investor relations efforts by providing operational insights and performance updates
- Collaborate with municipal entities, developers, and infrastructure partners
Qualifications & Education Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following:
- Business Administration
- Sports Management
- Engineering
- Hospitality Management
- Construction Management or related field
- MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
Experience
- 10–15+ years of senior leadership experience in:
- Motorsports operations
- Large-scale sports/entertainment venues
- Mixed-use real estate development
- Theme parks, resorts, or large experiential destinations
- Proven experience managing multi-division operations and large teams
- Demonstrated success in scaling complex organizations

- Background in automotive R&D environments or proving grounds
- Familiarity with streaming/media platforms and digital content ecosystems
- Experience working with public-private partnerships and large capital projects
